Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced on Sept 12 that the blockbuster movie "The Conjuring" will be available in Blu Ray, iTunes, Amazon, Xbox and Playstation on October 22.

"Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has officially announced the Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet Combo Pack release of director James Wan's The Conjuring, starring Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor. The well-received horror film was a surprise success at the box office earlier this summer, thanks to strong reviews and enthusiastic word of mouth. The Conjuring arrives on Blu-ray in time for Halloween, on October 22nd.

Having earned $260 million worldwide on a $20 million budget, the movie will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack for $35.99 and on single disc DVD for $28.98. The Blu-ray Combo Pack features the theatrical version of the film in hi-definition on Blu-ray, and the theatrical version in standard definition on DVD. Both the Blu-ray Combo Pack and the single disc DVD include UltraViolet which allows consumers to download and instantly stream the standard definition theatrical version of the film to a wide range of devices including computers and compatible tablets, smartphones, game consoles, Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players."

Back in August, "The Conjuring" surpassed the $200 million mark at the worldwide box office as announced by Warner bros President for Domestic Distribution, Dan Fellman and president for International Distribution Veronika Kwan Vandenberg.

For the domestic sales on an opening weekend alone, "The Conjuring" earned $41.9 million. For the international cinemas (37 markets) earned a debut revenue of $90 million across France, Italy, Philippines, Mexico and Belgium.

"The terrifying phenomenon experienced by this real family and translated so effectively to screen by James Wan has now become a phenomenon with audiences. We congratulate James and the cast and everyone involved in the film," Mr Fellman said during his announcement.

"We're thrilled with the incredibly strong numbers we're seeing across the map, which is an outstanding feat for a film of this genre, especially one that is not a sequel or based on another property. Huge kudos to James Wan and his cast and crew for creating a fantastic film that has cast an electrifying spell in theatres around the globe," Ms Kwan Vandenberg said.
