The Conjuring Star Vera Farmiga Share Horror Stories Behind The Set, Keeps Waking Up At 3:07 AM
With the box office hits and other good news that have arrived for the movie 'The Conjuring,' not many cared to dig deep how creepy it was too for the actors who played in it. Just like Vera Farmiga who played Lorraine Warren, a paranormal investigator who has researched a haunted home in Rhode Island.
During several interviews with Ms Farmiga of various conferences and media releases, the actress revealed some of her own horror stories that happened behind the camera.
In the film's story, the clocks inside the haunted New England farmhouse kept on stopping at exactly 3:07 a.m. because this is the same time that the murders also took place. Whether it was in Ms Farmiga's subconscious or not, she shared that she kept on waking at the same exact time when she checks on her phone in the middle of the night.
In another interview, The Conjuring actress shared how fire alarms would just suddenly go off and what she calls as the "claw" scenario. She recalls that a day after filming, she noticed three red scratches on her thigh as if it was scratched by three fingers. She even took a photo of it and shared it with co-star Patrick Wilson.
Then there was her conversation with The Conjuring director James Wan. As they were talking about how to creatively approach the character of Lorraine, they saw three slashes on her computer screen which all of a sudden disappeared too.
All these may sound way too creepy already, good enough to send some goosebumps on your arm. But Ms Farmiga said she believes that there may something out there but she is not entertaining it at all. She may laugh it off as mere coincidence but she is not also taking it lightly. In short, the actress is not allowing any spooky happening to have power over her life.
So do you think The Conjuring actress is getting way too attached to her most recent role or could it be that her spooky role does not want to get detached from her?
Ms Farmiga received an Emmy nomination for her role as mother of Norman Bates in the series 'Bates Motel' which will soon return for its second season by next year.
