Consciously Coupling: Chris Martin Treats Gwyneth To A Post-Holiday Massage
Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are consciously coupling again. Last Friday afternoon, Dec. 26, the two were spotted shopping merrily in the Hamptons for some children's goods. Reportedly, Chris was also seen treating the actress to a massage.
Page Six reports that a source witnessed the couple going to Naturopathica health spa in East Hampton. According to the site's eye-witness, Martin "paid for her spa treatment and left for an hour until Paltrow, clad in sweats and Ugg boots, finished her massage."
The source added that the actress was texting on her phone, and when she was asked by Martin whom she was texting, Gwyneth replied, "Blythe Danner," who is her mother. The source said they left the spa together, all smiles.
According to Bang Showbiz, a source, who is said to have some inside information, has said that Gwyneth plans to spend more quality time with Chris, especially around New Year's Eve. Moreover, with Jennifer Lawrence out of the picture and Chris promising to cut back on his Coldplay commitments, their divorce just might eventually not happen anymore. The source added that currently the two are the best of friends.
On March 25, the actress used her Goop website to announce her breakup from her husband of 11 years. "We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," Paltrow wrote in a post on her site. "We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and co-parent, we will be able to continue in the same manner."
According to Fox News, the news surprised and irritated many. People were surprised because they thought that the couple's relationship was solid, especially since they are also parents to two children, Moses and Apple. However, the news also irritated many because the term "consciously couple" made the whole announcement seem pretentious and high-brow, giving critics another chance to say Paltrow is a "snob."
