When news broke that Cote de Pablo is leaving NCIS, a lot of fans said they're not ready to say goodbye to Ziva David. It seemed mourning was in order. The good news is Ziva David will not die in the series, says the NCIS Season 11 spoilers. The name of her replacement has also been named as Bishop.

Ziva David will be replaced by a certain "Bishop," and the showrunners promise a decent closure involving Tony DiNozzo (Michael Whetherly) for the fans. The NCIS Season 11 premiere begins the (emotional) farewell to Ziva.

"I feel like I am leaving my family. What I want to say most of all is thank you to the fans," Cote de Pablo had earlier said in a statement.

TV Line's Michael Ausiello dished the scoop that Ziva David's replacement is a certain Bishop. And she's "fresh-faced, focused and somewhat socially awkward. She has a mysterious mixture of analytic brilliance, fierce determination and idealism. She's traveled extensively, but only feels comfortable at home." (Temperance Brennan, is that you?)

The NCIS EP said not everyone will have a solid farewell with Ziva. "I wanted to have as many moments as I could, but my main concern was for Tony and Ziva to have the time they deserved," NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg was quoted by TV Guide.

Israeli agent Ziva David has been in NCIS since 2005. Her anticipated 2013 exit is expected to boost the show's ratings to new heights -- at least for the premiere. The Ziva-Tony fans will be tuning in for their own closure. But what happens next in NCIS Season 11 is naturally as important for production at this point. Naturally, the creative team is carefully planning how the show goes on after Ziva's exit.

NCIS promises its "biggest season premiere" in a CBS promo video. Gibbs (Mark Harmon) is heard saying, "Find her. Make sure she's OK." Fans assume he's talking to Tony and referring of course to Ziva. NCIS Season 11 premiere is called, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot." CBS airs the episode on Tuesday, Sept. 24.
