If Vanessa Anne Hudgens is dating someone two years younger than her, her ex-boyfriend Zac Efron is out flirting with a woman 20 years older than him. Who is this lucky woman?

Pictures point to his "New Year's Eve" co-star, Michelle Pfeiffer.

"I met Michelle a few years ago during 'Hairspray' and had a huge crush on her, always, from day one," gushed the teen heartthrob, speaking about his last movie with the 53-year old movie star. "And back then I was very, very young and very bashful, and around her I tended to put [my foot] in my mouth a lot. I didn't really know what to say to her, and everything just came out wrong... I didn't know what to do. But then I got to talk on the phone with [her] about this part, and she said, 'I think we should take this to the next level. We should ... get a kiss in there.' And I was like, 'I'm in! I'm in this movie! Sign me up! Let's do it!'...It was awesome."

That was quite a lot to say on stage and it did make ears perk up at Efron's last quote.

"Every second with you was amazing," said Efron to Pfeiffer. If that wasn't enough to make the crowd of Beverly Hilton's ballroom to gush, then their casual sweetness was.

That wasn't the only time Efron hinted at his "huge crush" on the veteran actress. During the "New Year's Eve" premiere Monday night at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Efron could not take his hands of his co-star. He held Pfeiffer tight during their arrival at the venue.

This captivating duo has got the world on their fingertips. Efron, the ever-charming actor, continued to flirt shamelessly during the press conference. Their most interesting exchange follows.

"It was basically just us snuggling very close," said Efron, when Pfeiffer was asked about their scooter scene in the streets of New York City.

"Yeah, that was nice," said the actress, who was obviously playing along with him.

"That was a turn-on. I felt very comforted," answered Efron. Again in turn, this caused a chorus of gushing voices.

Is this simply their provocative way of promoting their upcoming movie, or was the flirting a cover up for something deeper between the two? Watch out for the movie, which will be out on Friday, and see if there really is chemistry between them.
