Country singer Carrie Underwood was the talk of the town (and on Twitter too) when she ditched her girl next door look and opted for a much sexier sheer gown to host the Country Music Association Awards (CMA) in Nashville on Wednesday night.

This will be the sixth time that Underwood will host the CMA with Brad Paisley. The singer looked stylish, sophisticated and chic in a sheer nude coloured gown with a floor length frock, which revealed her beautiful and well-shaped legs. The gown, covered in delicate sequins, was figure hugging and showed what excellent shape she is in.

The 30-year-old host teamed her sexy sheer outfit with a metallic gold miniature clutch bag. Her hair was perfect with waves falling gracefully over one shoulder. The wife of NHL player Mike Fisher completed her look with false eyelashes, oodles of eye shimmering makeup and frosted pink lipstick.

"And, as per tradition, @BradPaisley sent me flowers, too! I am one lucky lady! May we all have a blessed night! :)," the 30-year-old country singer tweeted earlier in the day.

Carrie's fans have been use to seeing her in flirty frocks and denims so the sheer sexy gown came as a pleasant surprise for her fans and it lead to Carrie Underwood trending on Twitter.

"Carrie Underwood can just stand there and it will blow me away cuz she's hot," wrote one fan Isabella on Twitter.

"Carrie Underwood's legs should just win an award," writes Lauren Rago on Twitter.

The gorgeous and stunning CMA host with wonderful body works hard for the look and recently revealed that she keeps a food diary, documenting everything she eats.

The gorgeous singer, who is very fond of clothes and loves changing them during awards show, was not sure if she can do so at the CMA's.

"I don't know if I'm going to be allowed to change my clothes so much this year, but I will try," Carrie recently joked with On The Red Carpet. "It's just a reworking of the show and our responsibilities as hosts and what not. Trust me I would change clothes approximately every three minutes if I could," she added.
