Australian singer Delta Goodrem has split with her pop star boyfriend Nick Jonas as she begins filming "The Voice" in Sydney. The LA-based pop pair started dating not long after she split with fiancé Brian McFadden. The 27-year-old Australian singer and 19-year-old Disney heart-throb met during songwriting sessions for her long-awaited fourth album. They announced their split in a carefully worded statement issued by Goodrem's Sydney publicist.

"Nick and Delta have decided mutually to end their relationship," the statement read. "At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths. They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future,'' the publicist further shared on the statement released.

Meanwhile, Nick Jonas has taken over for Darren Criss, who took over for Daniel Radcliffe on Broadway and the second-youngest Jonas said that he absolutely adores his solitude and independence in the Big Apple. While not performing in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", Nick says he does not get bugged by paparazzi and he can enjoy his free time.

"It's been a great season of sort of really finding some independence and doing my own thing. I can walk the street here in New York. I wear a hat, a scarf and a big jacket and I'm usually fine," Nick said about his freedom. "There are moments when it becomes more interesting than others, and I should probably have somebody with me just to help. The fans, who do approach me, are so supportive and excited for me to be in this show," he further shared.
