A busy schedule is what keeps couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev apart. Last Saturday, April 13, Ian Somerhalder together with the cast of The Vampire Diaries attended the Las Vegas Convention for the TV series, while Nina Dobrev was left behind stuck at work.

According to the Creationent Web site report, Ian Somerhalder was with his Vampire Diaries co-stars Paul Wesley, Michael Trevino, Zach Roerig, Nathaniel Buzolic and Arielle Kebbel where they answered the fans' questions and signed for autographs.

The couple shared their weekend experiences on the social networking site Twitter. Ian Somerhalder posted a message on Saturday using his Twitter account @iansomerhalder, and it reads: "Two amazing organizations here with me in Las Vegas at the Rio! Stop by our tables!!! Thank you! Love, Ian."

"What are most people doing right now? Drinking. What am I doing right now? Filming. Working/NightShooting on Saturday night. Yup. True story," Nina Dobrev wrote on her Twitter account @ninadobrev with a link that shows the photo of her with a crew on The Vampire Diaries set.

Before the couple spent the weekend away from each other, Ian and Nina looked after their cat together when their furry pet, Moke, was rushed to the animal hospital on April 11. The Vampire Diaries stars were scared and worried that Moke got sick and of course, Nina Dobrev shared to her fans on Twitter and WhoSay about their experience.

"Driving sleepy to work ... Barely got any zzzz's due to scary trip to kitty hospital in the middle of the night. #concernedparents," the 24-year-old actress wrote on WhoSay, with a shared image of her, Ian and the sick cat.

Then on Twitter, the actress revealed that Moke is already doing fine. "Kid is doing much better now. Passed out on the good stuff, wrapped in mommas jacket. #phewsighofrelief," Nina posted. Well, Moke is one lucky cat to have caring "parents" in Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev.
