Actor Ian Somerhalder recently posted a message on Twitter about his love for a star that he met at the 2013 SXSW Film Festival. Should his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, be worried about his revelation on the social networking site?

Fortunately, the special star that Ian loves is not a new girl so girlfriend Nina Dobrev does not have to worry about it. Ian's new adorable friend is none other than Grumpy Cat who has big and beautiful blue eyes.

The 34-year-old actor could not help but grab the famous cat star for a quick embrace and have their pictures taken. The "Vampire Diaries" actor posted the message on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder that reads "Me and my new love..." with the photograph attached.

Ian Somerhalder luckily met the most famous cat on the internet during an interview with Mashable at the SXSW. The actor was obviously love-struck with Grumpy Cat since he is a genuine cat lover. Nina Dobrev could be upset that she was not able to meet Ian's new animal friend because the couple are far away from each other.

While Ian Somerhalder attended the 2013 SXSW Film Festival, Nina Dobrev dressed up and had fun at the John Varvatos 2013 Stuart House Benefit held in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 10. The 24-year-old actress looked like a doll in an Elie Saab dress, a pair of Pollini shoes with a Jimmy Choo bag.

"And I'm back! Thank you sun for shining brightly for my arrival. Uhhhh I could NOT get on a plane for 10days+be so happy. Thank god Im not!" Dobrev posted on her Twitter account @ninadobrev after returning to Los Angeles.

Aside from the 2013 SXSW event, Ian Somerhalder also attended "The Branding Bee" presents the "Drinking Buddies" after party live from "The Hive" held at Maggie Mae's. "If you're at #SXSW stop by the Warner Bros. space 419 Congress today/tmrw & pitch your idea for a new CW digital series. #WBSXSW #SXCW," the actor further wrote on his Twitter account.
