Split rumors have been following Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev for the past couple of weeks. However, a representative of the "Vampire Diaries" actress denied the numerous reports in an attempt to put a stop to the split issue.

The representative of Nina Dobrev revealed to Gossip Cop that the split rumors are "not true." The split rumors include the recently published story that claims it was Ian Somerhadler who "dumped" Nina Dobrev and the couple's conflict on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie casting.

The couple has been inseparable as they traveled the world, worked together in the hit TV series "The Vampire Diaries," made appearances at several events and even spent quality time with each other's family and friends.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev were last spotted together at Elton John's Oscars after-party. The month of March is about to end with no public sighting of the couple together. The 24-year-old actress spent most of her free time in Los Angeles with family and friends while the 34-year-old heartthrob actor has been traveling places without the companion of his girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Ian Somehalder was reportedly expressing his anger on the social networking site "Twitter" but it was not about the split reports. The actor shared a web site link of an animal cruelty video footage on his Twitter account @iansomerhalder with the upset message that reads: "Time for compassion da** it! I know I sound angry-I am. I'd love to have some zen approach to this but people beating animals repeatedly is absurd. It's absurd. Do something."

Though there has been no "Twitter" interaction between Ian and Nina like how they used to do in the past, reports are suggesting that the couple may have decided once again to keep their romantic relationship away from the prying eyes of the media.
