Internationally known for her role as Monica on one of TV's longest running series "FRIENDS," Courteney Cox revealed on Monday, April 21, that the show's potential reunion is not going to happen. On her latest interview on "The Late Show With David Letterman" Cox squashed all hopes of "Friends" fans when she said, "It's not gonna happen."

The "Cougar Town" star explained how difficult it is to how difficult it is to gather the six of them in one room let alone in an actual movie. "There's six friends and I have been trying to put together a cast dinner ten years," says the 49-year-old actress who plays a neurotic alpha female on the NBC sitcom.

"It doesn't happen," she explained in an interview posted in Us Weekly. "I mean, I can get the girls [Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow] to come, maybe Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc canceled last time, [David] Schwimmer lives here [in NYC versus Los Angeles], so it's just not going to happen."

Her statement about the cast reunion also reaffirms what series' co-creator Marta Kauffman have said a year ago. "I'm going to clear this up right now, no it's not happening!" says Kauffman as she tried to end the rumours about the cast reprising their roles in "Friends."

After the show wrapped in 2004 the six castmates managed to make guest appearances on each other's projects. Cox whose character is married to Perry's character appeared on his show "Go On" last year, while Kudrow made a cameo on Matt LeBlanc's Showtime series "Episodes."

"Friends" fans may not see Ross, Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, Chandler and Joey together again on the big screen but they can check out Cox's "Cougar Town" to see Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Matthew Perry in action again.

The blooming actress was accompanied by her boyfriend Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid during her sit-down interview with Letterman. The new couple have been dating for several months now after they made their relationship public in December when they appeared together in Jennifer Aniston's Christmas party.

Now that "Cougar Town's" season 5 is behind her, Cox is scheduled to premiere her very own directorial debut, "Just Before I Go," at TIFF.
