Courtney Cox on David Arquette: “I’m his biggest protector”
‘Friends’ star, Courtney Cox has spoken about her estranged husband David Arquette and claims that she could not help being her husband’s ‘biggest protector’
Actress, Courtney Cox has confessed that she is her estranged husband, David Arquette’s biggest protector despite their separation in October 2010.
"You can't really get mad at David because he's not a malicious person," the 46-year-old actress said in an interview for Harper's Bazaar April issue.
This is the first time that the ‘Friends’ star has spoken about her relationship with Arquette since they announced their split last year.
"He was dealing with things the best way he could," Cox was quoted as telling Harper’s Bazaar by Access Hollywood.
She added, "I don't know what's going to happen, but I don't think he'll be doing more Howard Stern any time soon. He's not out to harm. But I'm his biggest protector. I can't help it."
Though Cox has clearly expressed her faith on Arquette during the interview, the “Cougar Town’ star has underscored that she is now set on finding for inner peace following their separation.
Courtney said she's searching for peace after they ‘ended’ her relationship David, emphasizing that things change and change usually comes with age.
"The thing is, when you get older, it's more about compatibility than it is about love," Cox explained, said Access Hollywood.
The actress then pointed David’s impact on her life when she said: "I think it's more about needing just a kind of peace and stillness. I'm kind of all over the place, and I need grounding. I want to be calm. I want to change a lot. I want to live not outside but inside. It's nothing with David; it's just what I'm searching for."
Since the celebrity couple have yet to be divorced, Cox statement has raised questions as to whether or not their marriage is really over. And the couple will be seen paired again next month on the big screen for Scream 4 which is expected to increase doubts on the status of their marriage.
