"Hole" singer Courtney Love was reportedly injured due to a fire in her New York luxury town house earlier today.

The 46-year-old suffered from burns after she tried to put out a fire inside her West Village townhouse in New York City. According to the singer, a candle's flame accidentally came too close to her bedroom curtains and the fire spread across the room. The rocker says she tried to extinguish the fire herself, causing her hands to burn in some places. Although the burns are more than minor, the singer was not rushed to the hospital. Love was treated in her home after paramedics and the fire department arrived.

When the fire department came to the town house, the fire had already been put out. Police investigating the fire already ruled out suspicious behavior and circumstances.

The West Village town house has been a temporary home to the singer since early February this year. Love reportedly spends $27,000 USD a month to keep her stay at the 3-bedroom home. The luxury house is furnished with 5 bathrooms, six fireplaces, a veranda, and a balcony with a splendid view of Manhattan.
