‘Covert Affairs' Season 5 Recap: Episode 12 'Starlings Of The Slipstream' Aired On Nov. 13, 2014, Auggie And Ryan McQuaid Meet For The First Time In A Special Episode Directed By Christopher Gorham [WATCH VIDEO]

"Covert Affairs" starring Piper Perabo as Annie Walker and Christopher Gorham as Auggie Anderson aired the episode "Starlings of the Slipstream" (episode 12) on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014. This episode was about Annie going to Germany to locate a chemist and also to get some much needed answers that will shed light on some questionable things. Read on for the "Covert Affairs" Season 5 recap of episode 12 "Starlings of the Slipstream" to find out what happened to Annie and company.

Here's what happened in "Covert Affairs" Season 5, episode 12 "Starlings of the Slipstream." Annie got an urgent call from Auggie while she was relaxing at home with Ryan. She also found out that Auggie got arrested and was in jail. Auggie asked for Annie's help because he thinks his friends are being targeted one by one. He thinks it's linked to the whole Belenko case.

Of course, Annie agreed to help him, despite all the awkward tension between them now that she's currently dating Ryan. Speaking of Ryan, he also offered his assistance. He used some of his contacts to speed up their investigation.

As for Joan, she went through an unexpected polygraph test which aroused some suspicions about her, especially regarding her mysterious time spent at the Balkans. And, Calder continued to use Stephanie to spy for him, even if Joan did not approve of it.

Annie got some information about Belenko from Britta Caplan. Unfortunately, Caplan died. Plus, Annie was almost captured. Thankfully, she was rescued by another one of Belenko's enemies. But, she doesn't think she can fully trust them yet. Aside from all the suspense, mystery, drama and action in this episode, Auggie also got kidnapped at the end of it.

Christopher Gorham, who plays Auggie in the show, directed "Covert Affairs" Season 5, episode 12 "Starlings of the Slipstream." He spoke to TV Line about his experience in shooting this particular episode.

"I was really happy that I got to be the director for when Auggie and McQuaid meet," Gorham said in the TVLine report.

Gorham mentioned that the entire Auggie-Annie-Ryan thing is very complicated. He also said that Auggie and Ryan tried not to be competitive in this episode, but they couldn't help it because they are both part of Annie's lives and have some history with her that simply can't be ignored.
