"Criminal Minds" Season 9 is nearing its milestone episode where Paget Brewster will reprise her role as Agent Emily Prentiss, and fans are still hungry for more hints and teasers on what's to come.

So far, what is known about the 200th episode is that Prentiss will be getting back together with the BAU team. In addition, a past interview with Thomas Gibson (who plays Aaron Hotchner) held a teasing tone when he stated hopes of seeing her again, which could hint at an after 200th episode stint.

But in the latest interview with TV Guide, writer Erica Messer revealed one good tip for those who are looking forward to it.

Apparently, you need to make sure to catch the 199th episode or "Criminal Minds" Season 9 Episode 14 to not miss out on some crucial details. In the interview, Messer reveals that more of JJ Jareau's secret past involving the new section chief Matt Cruz (played by Esai Morales) will be revealed.

In particular, the last few minutes of the 199th episode will end with a very crucial cliffhanger to kick start the milestone episode.

"At the beginning of the 200th, the team... has to figure out how to help her," said Messer to TV Guide. "And how does Prentiss figure in? She'll be seen in the present and the past in the flashback-heavy episode," the writer added.

A Slot in the People's Choice Awards

In terms of TV ratings and viewership, "Criminal Minds" Season 9 is celebrating a rather solid performance as it conclues its seventh episode. And so far in the game, its numbers are still on the positive side, with a mere insignificant drop as shown by the ratings from TV Series Finale.

Apparently, the solid performance of "Criminal Minds" Season 9 goes beyond the numbers, as it has also been nominated for an awards show to be held in 2014. According to USA Today, nominees for the People's Choice Awards are already decided and voting is open until Dec 5.
