Cristiano Ronaldo Could Face a Suspension After Verbally Abusing a Referee During the 'El Clasico' Match
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly in danger after verbally abusing an official during the "El Clasico" match that took place on Oct 26.
Cristiano and the rest of his team lost to Barcelona on Saturday at Camp Nou. Without a doubt, he has the right not to be happy. However, do you think he has the right to insult one of the officials who refereed the match?
Here's the full story. Cristiano was caught grumbling and whining in front of the camera after the referee Undiano Mallenco did not call what he thinks is a clear penalty. The video footage shows an angry Ronaldo shouting at the referee. He thought that he was fouled inside by Javier Mascherano, but the referee did not call it.
Check out the video below. "Eso no, cagón," the Portuguese footballer shouted. This is the time when online translating tools come in handy. "Cagón" means "chicken s**t" in the English language. The video was somewhat laying it on thick at Cristiano because the part where he shouted "cagón" was repeatedly played.

As reported by Inside Spanish Football, the Competition Committee of the Real Federacion Espanola de Futbol (RFEF), or Royal Spanish Football Federation in English, is currently investigating the said incident. It is not clear whether Cristiano will be reprimanded for his actions or not. However, it sure looks like the association is taking the said matter very seriously. Should the committee act, the Real Madrid superstar could be suspended to play for one to three matches, in addition to paying a fine?
Do you think they should punish Ronaldo for such harmless complaining? For those of you who watched the match, maybe it was really a clear foul, or maybe not?
The simple fact is that a football match goes both ways. One team can win and one team can lose. Cristiano has to be cautious and he should be able to control himself. He can't afford to let Real Madrid down for not being able to play just because of some words he said.
