Nothing beats a heartfelt hug, even if its from a stranger (well, technically) and even if it’s right in the middle of a big game, or the Guinness International Champions Cup to be specific.

Christiano Ronaldo got some love amidst the cheering of crowds from a superfan. The fan interrupted the match between Real Madrid and Chelsea in Miami on Wednesday when he went directly for Ronaldo in the field and gave his favorite player a tight hug.

The fan, showed his respect and love for the player with his Ronaldo jersey. Surely not lacking in guts similarly to Ronaldo, the fan streaked onto field at around 66:30 mark in the game and embraced the star player of Real Madrid.

Christiano Ronaldo did not lose his cool and gave the fan a hug back. He even engaged the man for a few seconds before the security escorted the fan out the field.

Maybe the hug was lucky or Ronaldo was really good. Either way, the star player scored twice and set up the first goal in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win.

Despite Chelsea's aggressive play in the latter half of the game, this was not enough to turn the tides already in favor of the Madrid right from the start. Ronaldo made Chelsea pay in the 57th minute with a header goal. This extended Madrid's lead to 3-1.

Ronaldo also set up Alvaro Morata for a goal later in game that was ruled offside.

Madrid commenced its tournament with a 3-1 win over the Los Angeles Galaxy. In the semifinal, the team also won over the Everton 2-1 to advance to the final.

Chelsea commenced its tournament with a 2-0 win over Inter Milan and repeated the effort in a 2-0 victory against AC Milan.
