Cristiano Ronaldo Splits With Girlfriend Irina Shayk After Five Years Of Relationship
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Irina Shayk ended their five-year relationship, according to Shayk's representative. The break-up rumours started when Shayk did not attend the Ballon d'Or presentation, where Ronaldo was awarded the world's best footballer.
According to the representative of the model, the couple had split. "We can confirm Irina Shayk has ended her relationship to Cristiano Ronaldo," the representative told Stephanie Smith of Page Six.
Reportedly, Ronaldo and Shayk unfollowed each other on the social media after Shayk failed to attend a party for Ronaldo's mother. Irina only follows 33 people on Twitter hence it was pretty obvious when he unfollowed his boyfriend of five years. Just recently, Irina celebrated her birthday and posted a couple of photos on Twitter but there's no sign of Ronaldo's presence. In a report from the Mirror, the Russian beauty decided not to attend the 60th birthday party of Dolores Aviero and her relationship with her was at the centre of tensions.
However, Shayk's representative denied the rumours saying that the 29-year-old has been close with the family of Ronaldo throughout their relationship. Negative rumours with regards to Shayk's relationship with the family of Ronaldo were completely false and were not a factor in the break-up of the couple, the representative said.
On the other hand, according to a source of Mirror, Dolores, the mother of the football superstar wanted someone who will assume the role of a mother for Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., which is not the priority of Irina.
The report also claimed that during one of her recent trips to Madrid, Irina had to stay in a hotel because Dolores, who is raising the four-year-old son of Ronaldo, was staying at Ronaldo's luxury home in La Finca. According to the Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha and Spanish paper El Mundo as reported by Sports.ndtv.com, Ronaldo already announced to his family that Irina is already a closed chapter of his life.
