A witch doctor who is a native in Ghana claims that that he is the one responsible for Cristiano Ronaldo's recent injury and reportedly not going to cease casting black magic spells to ensure that the world's greatest footballer wouldn't be fit for the upcoming 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Guardian reported that Ronaldo is battling injuries ahead of the football tournament. Suffering from a muscle problem, Ronaldo had to sit out the friendly match between Portugal and Greece. In the statement released by Portuguese FA, it has been revealed that Ronaldo has "left-leg patellar tendinosis." The Real Madrid superstar has been training on his own, away from his teammates, in an effort to build up his strength and recover from the said injury.

How true that there is black magic surrounding Ronaldo's lingering leg injury? A report by Swagofafrica.com states that a witch doctor who goes by the name Kwaku Bonsam (which means "Devil of Wednesday") is claiming that he is the one behind Ronaldo's latest injury. Bonsam claimed he had created a potion made from "special powder" summoned from his gods, combined with other potions, which was swung and dangled above a photo of Ronaldo.

"I know what Cristiano Ronaldo's injury is about," said Bonsam in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel radio station. "I'm working on him."

According to Bonsam, he is "serious" about what he was doing to ensure that Ronaldo would not get to play for the World Cup. Just last week, Bonsam revealed that he hunted for four dogs and used the animals to conjure a special spirit he called "Kahwiri Kapam."

"I said if four months ago that I will work on Cristiano Ronaldo seriously and rule him out of the World Cup or at least prevent him from playing against Ghana and the best thing I can do is to keep him out through injury."

Bonsam said that Ronaldo's injury cannot be cured because the doctors would never find out what is wrong or the cause of it.

"This injury can never be cured by any medic, they can never see what is causing the injury because it is spiritual."

"Today, it is his knee, tomorrow, it is thigh, next day, it is something else," said Bonsam.

Bonsam is Ghana's most feared traditional priest, New York Times reported in July 2013. He has "a religious empire, free elementary school, houses, cars, and a cattle farm," back in Ghana.
