Cristiano Ronaldo is the latest sports personality to have started his own line of underwear collection. Much like David Beckham, who first launched his underwear line for Armani and socks for H&M, Ronaldo is out to prove that his undies would also reap success.

The Portuguese football superstar, who recently renewed his contract with Real Madrid, will launch his underwear line on Nov 1. Ronaldo teamed up with New York-based fashion designer Richard Chai. The two cautiously worked together in making sure that everything from styles to colors of the said clothing line will be taken care of.

David Beckham launched his underwear range in 2012. On Tuesday, he was spotted filming his new clothing brand for H&M. The ad was filmed in East London and he was running around the rooftop only on his undies.

"The girls who saw Beckham during the shoot had the best lunch break ever," an onlooker said. "He just looked as fit as ever," the source said.

It sure looks like we will be seeing more Ronaldo and Beckham in the coming days. The billboards showing off their great chiseled bodies will definitely be all over the metro and everywhere.

Both athletes are considered as two of the most talented football players in the entire world. Beyond doubt, they are modern-day icons. The recognition and distinction that they get from the realm of football can extend very well, even in an underwear campaign.
