Casting polls for "Crossfire" lead characters Gideon Cross and Eva Tramell will certainly start to circulate, comparable to the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" film, now that the "Crossfire" novel series is set to grace the TV screen. One potential actor suggested for the role of Gideon Cross is "White Collar" star Matt Bomer.

It is not surprising that the actors being considered in portraying handsome billionaire Gideon Cross are the same ones suggested for the Christian Grey character in "Fifty Shades of Grey" since both characters have similarities. The other heartthrob actors that "Crossfire" fans vote are Henry Cavill of "Superman" and Ian Somerhalder of the "Vampire Diaries" series.

For the "Fifty Shades of Grey" casting news, Matt Bomer's name is constantly mentioned in several fan polls but there is no confirmation yet if the actor has landed the most coveted male lead role. Mr Bomer was even slammed for being too gay to portray the dark billionaire Christian Grey, a BDSM practitioner with a dark past.

Matt Bomer currently works on the latest season of "White Collar" in the busy streets of New York City as the TV set where he portrays a handsome con man named Neal Caffrey. The USA Network comedy-drama series is scheduled to premiere on October 2013.

The "Crossfire" series will certainly be another opportunity for the fans to see more of Matt Bomer if he gets cast. There is a possibility as well that the "White Collar" star could squeeze in another filming schedule since the USA Network already confirmed 13 episodes only for the upcoming Season 5.

Lionsgate recently announced that they got hold of the rights to turn the Sylvia Day adult novels into a TV series. No network has signed up yet but HNGN reports that HBO or Showtime are the choices for the upcoming sexy TV show.

Chris Salek, the executive president at Lionsgate, stated: "The 'Crossfire' series is an incredible property and it is a thrill to bring it to Lionsgate. Sylvia has created an enduring, sexy and edgy story, and we're looking forward to working with her to create a show that both excites and connects with audiences as her books have done."

Author Sylvia Day revealed that she is expecting the producers to stick to her "Crossfire" storyline and give a picture to the sex scenes described in the novel series. "I'm sure we'll see a lot of that translated to the film, which should be interesting and hopefully not too hard on the actors. I'm really excited," Ms Day stated.
