Russell Crowe, Greg Norman and Andrew Forrest made a secret trip to Marysville to talk about reestablishing the community.

The Hollywood royalty, golf legend and billionaire tycoon flew in to Marysville via the private chopper of businessman Andrew Fox's family.

They discussed with the community representatives and the State Government's reconstruction team about the project options.

The group was able to come up with more than $1.3 million in funds for the redevelopment project but were disappointed with the slow progress.

According to Mr Fox, Norman planned the trip so that they'd be able to have a direct meeting with the community about rejuvenation following Black Saturday.

He described the redevelopment in Marysville is slower than other bushfire areas.

Mr Fox could not give out any other information on the project, but he said things were now "moving along".

"It's a matter of getting something that's an economic benefit for the community," he said.

"We are still doing all the feasibility of the projects ... we feel it could be a catalyst for the rebuilding of Marysville."

Mr Fox stated that the economic flow-on would be the life blood of the community, saying, "If the blood's not flowing, the place dies. We just have to make sure that the blood's going to the right places."
