Crystal Hefner 'Healing, Growing' After Nathan Levi Split, Heart Disorder Diagnosis
Crystal Hefner is taking it easy and is on a path of "healing" amid her heartbreak and heart disease.
On Tuesday, Hefner, 35, shared a snap of herself on Instagram and detailed how she is doing following her split from Nathan Levi and her Long QT syndrome (LQTS) diagnosis. LQTS is a heart rhythm condition that can potentially cause fast, chaotic heartbeats that could cause patients to faint or trigger seizures in some cases, according to Mayo Clinic.
"I’ve been surrounding myself with people I love and trying to take things easy lately. I’m healing from things in my life and growing as a person," the former Playboy bunny wrote.
"On top of the health related things I’m still healing from, I was recently diagnosed with a rare heart rhythm disorder called 'long qt' syndrome. I’ve been lucky to find people on social media who have it as well and they’ve helped me tremendously," she continued.
Hefner went on to remind those who are suffering from the same condition that they are not alone. She added that she is working on simplifying her life after learning about her diagnosis and has decided to focus on herself.
"I’ve found it best to just focus on myself lately. I recently ended a year long relationship and am just trying to get myself to a place of happiness and wellness," she added.
Hefner then thanked those who have followed her journey and sent them some love.
"So much love to you," she concluded her post.
Hefner did not go into detail regarding why she and Levi called it quits after a year of dating.
Hefner made her relationship with Levi Instagram official in July 2020, three years after late husband Hugh Hefner's passing. However, they maintained a low profile when it came to their romance.
Hefner and Levi were photographed strolling on the beach and stopping for a kiss at the Casa de Mita resort in Mexico in July last year. An unnamed source told Page Six at the time that the late Playboy founder likely would have had approved of her new boyfriend.
"Hef would approve of her romance," the insider said. "Since his death she has been mourning and soul searching and traveling the world. It’s been hard for her to find someone who measures up to the legend of Hugh Hefner, and this guy seems to be it."
Hefner's circle of friends also approved of Levi, according to the source, who said they think he's "amazing" and adore him.
