CW's "The Secret Circle" premiered Sept.15.

The newest supernatural and young adult romance "The Secret Circle" completes the two-hour supernatural block of CW back-to-back with "The Vampire Diaries," which launched a new season.

The new TV series premiered last Sept. 15 and is currently a hot item for supernatural teen romance fans.

"The Secret Circle" is the newest take on witches since "Charmed." However, the series is palatable to the taste of Harry Potter fanatic and Twihards.

The two supernatural series, "The Secret Circle" and "The Vampire Diaries," were adaptations from L.J. Smith young adult romance novels.

The series stars Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Gale Harold, Pjoebe Tonkin, Shelley Hennig, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Ashley Crow, Louis Hunter and Natasha Henstridge.

"The Vampire Diaries" cocreator/executive producer Kevin Williamson is also one of the executive producers of the new series.

The pilot episode of the series was met by mixed reviews.

What's In "The Secret Circle"?

Set in a fictional town of Chance Harbor, Washington, the series follows the story of Cassie (Britt Robertson), an orphan who recently learned her witch lineage as her mother got killed in fire she thought was an accident. She moved to her grandmother and quickly found new friends in school.

She discovered that she is a witch, which completes the circle of six and strengthen the powers of other witches in the group. She is about to unearth her family's history, the town witches' history and the real cause of her mother's death.
