The 14th Dalai Lama, one of the world’s most revered spiritual leaders, will provide words of wisdom to current and future Queensland business leaders when he visits Brisbane for a lunch forum in June.

Yesterday, the leader of Tibetan Buddhism also appeared at University of Southern California and gave his opinion on Osama bin Laden’s killing.

As a human being, Bin Laden may have deserved compassion and even forgiveness, he answered to a question about the assassination of the Al Qaeda leader. But, he said, "Forgiveness doesn't mean forget what happened. … If something is serious and it is necessary to take counter-measures, you have to take counter-measures."

In June, the Buddhist spiritual leader and Nobel Laureate will give a 20-minute talk on the importance of “Values in Leadership, Environmental Thinking and the Action Required”.

Up to 1000 attendees from throughout Queensland are expected at the lunch, to be held at the Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday 17 June, 2011. The event will moderated by George Negus and presented by Dalai Lama in Australia Ltd.

”This forum is especially appropriate for those who lead, manage and inspire in organisations, corporations and small to medium enterprises,” said Lynn Bain General Manager Dalai Lama in Australia Ltd.

“Attendees will also hear from a panel of Chairmen, CEOs and Business Founders to explore how leadership values and environmental thinking have factored into their business and community work,” she said.

Proceeds from the lunch will help fund a series of free public forums including a same day address by the Dalai Lama to 9000 attendees at Brisbane’s Riverstage. Bookings and inquiries for the lunch are available via on www.straight2.com or email ange@straight2.com.
