The late Australian soprano Dame Joan Sutherland continues to thrill the people of London in an exhibition at Covent Garden, London's Opera House.

Shortly after the first anniversary of her death, her husband, conductor Richard Bonynge, her friends and colleagues gathered to pay her tribute through a private viewing.

The private viewing has included costumes, headdresses and jewelry Sutherland wore during her performances, photographs and a 30-minute video with excerpts of interviews.

Thousands of Londoners are expected to swarm Opera House to view the exhibition, which runs until Feb. 12.

On Thursday, Bonynge said Covent Garden was Dame Joan's favourite opera house in the world.

Dame Joan passed away on Oct. 10, 2010 at the age of 83 in her home in Geneva.
