Another season for the hit reality dance show Dancing With The Stars has started! ABC launched their DWTS season 17 on Sept 16 with a good mix of highs and lows for their premiere.

Most of the premiere performances were of top notch delivery and great dancing seen from Glee star Amber Riley along with professional dancing partner Derek Hough, according to BuddyTV. The young star opened up season 17 getting three 9s as scores from the panel of judges. It was the highest score for a premiere performance, but the second time during the entire run of the show. She received a standing ovation from the audience who also included her co-stars from Glee like Chris Colfer, Jenna Uskowitz and Kevin McHale.

The next set of high scores was given to another former teen star from the High School Musical, Corbin Bleu, followed by Saved By The Bell star Elizabeth Berkley. Bleu danced the night away with Karin Smirnoff with a piece that the judges described as "beautiful and passionate," US Magazine reports.

At third place for the season premiere of DWTS 17 were Jack Osbourne and Snooki. Both had 23 points as the Osbourne contestant was supported sweetly by parents Ozzy and Sharon. From behind, Christina Milan with Mark Ballas came in 4th place along with Brant Daugherty and Peta Murgatroyd who got 22 points out of 30.

Other dancing pairs who came in succeeding were Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus (21 points), Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani (21 points), Bill Engvall and Emma Slater (18 points) and football player Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess (17 points), while Science Guy Bill Nye with Tyne Stecklein performed cha cha and ranked last with a score of only 14 points.
