‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 21 contestants announced, show to premiere on Sept. 14
As “Dancing With The Stars” is getting ready to kick off its new season, the complete list of contestants have been announced on “Good Morning America” on Sept. 2. The popular dance reality show will begin Season 21.
The new celebrity contestants announced include “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, “Braxton Family Values” star Tamar Braxton, Afghanistan veteran Alek Skarlatos and celebrity chef Paula Deen.
The 22-year-old Army National Guard Specialist was one of the U.S. servicemen who recently helped stop a gunman attack on a Paris-bound train. Alek was awarded France's Legion of Honor for his heroism, Variety reported.
Also included in the lineup of stars is Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, who was a teenage sensation in the late 1990s. Also featuring is 17-year-old Bindi Irwin, the daughter of the late Australian "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin. YouTube sensation Hayes Grier, 15, and actress Alexa PenaVega are also included.
American horse racer Victor Espinnoza, who won the 2015 Triple Crown, will also put on his dancing shoes. Furthermore, 71-year-old actor Gary Busey, singer and songwriter Andy Grammer, Carlos PenaVega, the former boy band member, and Chaka Khan will also hit the dance floor in the upcoming season to compete for the Mirror Ball trophy this fall. As for the judges’ panel, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough will be back this season. There will also be guest judges in the panel, who will feature only in select episodes. Len Goodman will not be a judge on Season 21 but will reportedly figure throughout the season in some capacity.
