‘Dancing With The Stars’ winner Bindi Irwin insists she didn’t pass wind on live show, blames her microphone
“Dancing With The Stars” winner Bindi Irwin has insisted that she didn’t pass wind during the competition's live show. The Australian conservationist has blamed the microphone's feedback for the fart-sounding noise.
Irwin recently explained to TMZ that she was not responsible for the noise, which everyone heard during her hug with her professional dancing partner, Derek Hough.
“No. That was the mic, actually. If a mic could actually pick that kind of thing up, that’s an extraordinary mic,” she said. “But nope, not me.”
The 17-year-old conservationist found the whole issue funny. “But it was kind of funny,” she said.
One of the viewers of the competition shared a clip of the moment on Twitter and wrote, “Bindi Irwin couldn't holdit in any longer.” Australian radio show audioBoom ANZ tweeted a radio record of the fart-sounding noise, saying, “#BindiIrwin's infamous fart on #DWTS went viral, so the @ThinkergirlsTV look at other big #fart moments in history.”
Irwin, who dedicated her last routine to late father Steve Irwin, went home with a trophy and US$230,000 (AU$322,000), as she won the Season 21 of "Dancing with the Stars."
She and professional partner Hough received a perfect score of 30 from the judges with their finale performance. This is the sixth time that Hough has won the "Dancing with the Stars" competition. The pair competed against soldier Alex Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold and Backstreet Boy member Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess.
Irwin thanked her fans and “Dancing With The Stars” for “changing” her life.
“Thank you so much for everything. I can’t believe I’m here,” she said.
