Courtney Cox's estranged husband David Arquette took to his Twitter account (@davidarqutte) to explain his comments in The Howard Stern Show.

"Thank you all for your Love and support at this time. I'm trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be," said David.

"But it's been a process of trial and error. I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing ... but while doing that I shared too much ... it's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled..Life is a process of spiritual evolution."

"I'm sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we've learned."

Arquette has admitted sleeping with another woman in The Howard Stern show, a US radio programme. He confessed he slept with 28-year-old waitress Jasmine Waltz as was reported previously. The Hollywood actor said the encounter with the woman eleven-years his junior made him "feel pretty manly." In the same interview, Arquette revealed details of his and Courtney Cox's sex life, saying that at the time of the encounter he and Courtney had not had sex for several months. Arquette revealed that he had been feeling estrangement from his wife while filming the upcoming film.

Earlier this week, David Arquete and Courtney Cox announced that they have decided to split after eleven (11) years of marriage. Cox and Arquette met on the set of 1995 film Scream and married four-years later. However, the two will be seen together on the new Scream movie next year.
