David Beckham will be turned into a cartoon as his life will be recounted through a comic book, from his aspirations as a kid to the success he has being an athlete, publisher Bluewater productions said on Wednesday.

The book called "Fame: David Beckham" will be published in September and is the newest issue in the Bluewater comic series that features the detailed lives of political personalities such as Hillary Clinton, entertainers like Ellen DeGeneres and singers including Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.

Beckham, who became famous for his athletic expertise and his marriage to Spice Girl Victoria, is the first sports figure to be included in the publisher's fame series.

The comic will show how Beckham dreamed of becoming a Manchester United player up to the days when he became a Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder. It will be sold for $3.99 (£3).

The book will also include Beckham's influences in fashion, style and culture. It would start with him as a child who kicked balls with his father, Ted, and was being driven to "bend it", which later added to his fame for having the ability to curve the ball in the air as referenced in the movie "Bend it Like Beckham".

In the meantime, the World Cup Tournament is set to open later this week. However, Beckham will not be participating in it because of his injured Achilles tendon.
