David Beckham And Son Brooklyn Escape Unscathed From Car Crash After Arsenal Game
Football superstar David Beckham and his 15-year-old son Brooklyn have escaped practically unscathed from a car crash. The incident occurred as David and Brooklyn were leaving after an under 16 match on Arsenal's training grounds on Nov. 29. Both emerged unhurt from the accident but the car was not in running condition.
David had been in Arsenal's training grounds in London Colney, Hertfordshire, watching his son Brooklyn play in an under-16 match against club side Brighton when the incident occurred. The Daily Mail reported that the car crash took place just as the pair were leaving the training grounds and that several other team members and their opponents got stuck behind the crash. Several fans and other players were able to witness the crash as they were all funnelling out from the game.
One witness apparently reported that David appeared to have injured his shoulder. The other vehicle involved in the crash had reportedly been travelling at a high velocity. Despite Beckham's car having been hit hard on the driver's side of the vehicle, the airbags of the Audi RS6 had deployed and minimised the injuries.
According to the Telegraph, both David and Brooklyn appeared to be shaken following the crash but were able to walk away. The car was in a worse state and could no longer be driven away from the site. Despite the damage to the Beckhams' Audi, a folllowup report from the Daily Mail, which included crash site photos, showed that the other car was in a worse state. The Mitsubishi Colt Coupe Cabriolet was completely wrecked on the front end.
At only 15 years old, Brooklyn had recently been signed by top tier team Arsenal to become part of their youth team. Brooklyn is the eldest son of former England Captain David Beckham, who enjoyed an illustrious career playing not only for the national team but also for the best clubs in the world. David could count under his resume some very successful stints with Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and the Los Angeles Galaxy.
David and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, have travelled the world with Brooklyn and their other kids Romeo, Cruz and Harper because of David's mobile career, but they have since returned to England after David retired. Consequently, Brooklyn has found a place to start his own career with Arsenal.
