David Beckham wants front-page retraction from In Touch Magazine over alleged prostitute services
David Beckham wants a front-page retraction from the US gossip magazine In Touch over allegations that Beckham slept with a highly-paid prostitute. Beckham's lawyers will reportedly demand In Touch not to repeat the allegations and print a retraction on the magazine's front page.
David Beckham's representative has already sent legal warnings to Bauer Media before the allegations were printed. Beckham's lawyers warned the magazine that if the story made it to print, Beckham's camp would take legal action.
Now, Beckham's camp is planning to launch lawsuits for malice in the United States and for defamation and slander in Germany.
In Touch magazine alleged that David Beckham slept with an escort known only as Miss Irm Nici in a New York hotel room in 2007. The gossip magazine has further reported that Miss Nici flew in to London a month later to render her services to the sportstar.
According to Miss Nici, she availed the services of a second woman to join her in the 2007 New York liason with Beckham. The incident allegedly happened after the soccer star went on to join the LA Galaxy team.
The spokesperson for Bauer Media refused to comment on the matter. However, the allegations have not been published on In Touch Magazine websites outside the United States. But the story have been widely published in the United Kingdom.
