David and Victoria Beckham Take The Fashion World By Storm With New York Fashion Week And Belstaff Collections
David and Victoria Beckham have taken the fashion world by storm. Victoria featured her Spring 2015 fashion collection at New York Fashion Week to rave reviews a few days ago while her hubby is getting ready to release his own line for menswear brand Belstaff.
David Beckham was the darling of the football world during his professional career when he played for the best clubs in the world such as Manchester United and Real Madrid. When he married the massively famous Victoria Adams of the Spice girls, the pair became a global phenomenon. Once only celebrities in the sports and music industry, the power couple have appeared in numerous fashion spreads over the years. Since retiring from singing, Victoria has shifted her focus to raising her children and making a name for herself in the fashion industry.
Victoria showcased her designs in New York Fashion Week 2014 and critics have been giving Mrs. Beckham rave reviews. The fashionista has been able to translate her own style into wearable and marketable designs. While this is a spring and summer collection, Victoria went off the beaten path and stayed with neutral black and white for most of the collection. Some hits of pink were seen and a few burgundys and powder blues. The collection featured mostly short dresses and shirts with one of the usual prints seen for summer but she instead opted for geometric cuts and a few patterns. Style.com documented all 29 looks featured in the collection which showed a timid-looking Victoria taking the stage at the end of the show to bask in the applause.
David came to the show to support his wife along with 15-year old son Brooklyn, The Beckham boys sat in the front row with none other than Vogue Magazine's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour. David is also celebrating a milestone of his own in the fashion industry with the launch of the latest designs for his annual line of men's clothing for fashion brand Belstaff.
David has designed a range of biker jackets which he also models himself. His collection is something that he considers to be smaller than what Victoria has achieved and he feels that she is still the top honcho in the family when it comes to designing.
"She's doing something far bigger than what I'm doing! Mine is a capsule collection and something that I am 100 per cent involved in, every detail - but Victoria's is a whole other monster," he explains in an interview with the Telegraph.
David further states that while he enjoys it, he doesn't have time to get into fashion full time. His wife on the other hand, has become a force to be reckoned with and has earned the respect of the fashion industry through her work.
