David Warner and Candice Falzon Are The Latest Proud Parents
David Warner is the latest dad in town. Warner and fiancée Candice Falzon welcomed their new baby girl on Thursday at 1:47 p.m..
The 29-year-old model's fiancée Candice Falzon gave birth to a baby girl in the Royal Woman's Hospital on Thursday. The baby weighed around 2.8 kg and is adjusting well to her new surroundings. The couple chose not to enquire about the gender in advance, so seeing the baby girl was a pleasant surprise for both of them.
The news is confirmed by Woman's Day. "She is absolutely gorgeous - I'm in love," told the new mother. The couple named their daughter Ivy Mae Warner.
As per Daily Telegraph, the couple met just a year ago via Twitter. Their online connection led to an instant friendship, followed by a whirlwind romance triggered by 'skyping and texting'. Later, in March, the couple officially announced that they are dating and expecting a child together.
The 27-yeard-old cricketer is a quick scoring left handed batsman. Apart from representing the national team, Warner is also playing for New South Wales, the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Sydney thunder.
He has quite a few records attached to his name as well. Recently, he broke the record for the highest one-day domestic score by scoring 197 out of just 141 balls, including 20 fours and 10 sixes.
On September 11, the cricketer hinted in Twitter about his excitement for the new innings in his life saying. He further hinted that he is hoping a call from her fiancée anytime soon, telling him that 'she is ready to push'. Just a few hours later, he actually received the call and rushed to the hospital to support Falzon in childbirth.
Warner kept his 575,000 Twitter followers updated throughout the whole process of 'delivery' and soon posted his first picture with Falzon. It was taken just few hours after the birth of their daughter.
Warner's announcement about his engagement in March came as a surprise for many as the couple had managed to keep the matter under wraps prior to their official declaration. Coming from a Maltese background, Falzon is a professional iron woman, surf lifesaver and a model. Winner of the Kellogg's Iron Woman series for surfing, Falzon is considered a veteran as she has been engaged in these games since the age of 14.
