‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ – Trailer Shows the Domination of Apes
A new trailer of the upcoming movie "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" has just been released. The trailer shows the apes to be more in number compared to the humans. Will this movie mark the beginning of total domination of the planet by the apes?
Movie buffs who have seen the "Planet of the Apes" movies of 1968 and 2001 will remember seeing the planet being dominated by apes and human beings treated as slaves. The upcoming movie "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" may be moving a step closer in this direction.
The new trailer of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is set 10 years after the events of the previous movie, in which apes evolved and most of humanity gets wiped out by a deadly virus. The main theme of the upcoming movie is the war that is waged for the domination of the planet.
Familiar scenes of apes riding horses and some carrying sticks as weapons are seen in the movie. The natural leader of the apes is Caesar. Readers will remember that in the old movies, apes come to revere the name derived from Caesar and idolize the name.
In the trailer of "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," Caesar is seen showing restraint but the war between humans and apes is inevitable. Some people in the movie blame the apes for the devastating virus that took the lives of their loved ones.
The fragile peace between the apes and humans is broken when some people stumble upon the habitat of the apes. The apes are seen building a home for themselves and trying to learn to read and write. Both sides only want to survive.
There seems to be some apes and people who want to avoid a war but war mongers are also present on both sides. Apart from the intense drama and action there also seem to be some soft moments in the movie, like Caesar looking at a video and remembering the time he spent as part of the human society.
"Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" is set to be released on 10 July in Australia, 11 July in U.S, 17 July in UK and 10 July in New Zealand. The cast of the movie includes Andy Serkis as Caesar, Judy Greer as Cornelia, Gary Oldman as Dreyfus, Keri Russell as Ellie, Toby Kebbell and Jason Clarke as Malcolm.
