'Days of Our Lives' cast updates and spoilers: Why True O'Brien, Shawn Christian are leaving the show
A number of characters will be leaving “Days of Our Lives” in the next episodes. Particularly, True O’Brien, who plays the character Paige Larson and Shawn Christian (Dr. Daniel Jonas), will no longer be on the NBC soap opera.
Spoiler alert! This article contains “Days of Our Lives” spoilers.
Soap Central reports that Salem’s serial killer has struck again and took out Paige Larson next. Many fans actually expected the twist to happen. J.J. (Casey Moss) discovered his former lover strangled to death in her shower in the episode on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Although it is apparently the last time that viewers will see O’Brien on “Days of Our Lives,” the actress revealed that there might still be more of her in upcoming episodes.
“Thanks everyone for the love. On the bright side, some AMAZING and heart wrenching work is coming from @1CaseyMoss and @Kassie DePaiva [Eve Donovan].” O’Brien tweeted.
Based on another Soap Central article, Dr. Daniel Jonas will also be leaving “Days of Our Lives.” The actor has been on the soap for eight years and there were rumours that he will finally be leaving soon. However, Daniel will not have the same fate as the murdered Serena (Melissa Archer) and Paige. His exit will be completely unrelated to the serial killer. Fans may be relieved to know that he may not be dying a horrible death, at least. Meanwhile, another character’s exit will most likely happen in early 2016.
Other characters rumoured to leave “Days of Our Lives” include Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) and his son, Chase (Jonathon McClendon). Clyde Weston (James Read) may also exit soon, according to Soaps. She Knows. Many fans believe that Weston is actually the serial killer causing so much fear in Salem. Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) might also leave the show soon after he returns to Salem to be with his family.
Christian reportedly already shot his last episode on “DOOL.” He is currently busy working on his new project called “Last Seen in Idaho.” “Days of Our Lives” airs from Monday to Friday on NBC.
