Picking up from where it left, the week of Sept. 8 on "Days of Our Lives" (DOOL) begins with some emotional trouble for Hope because of Aiden.

The detective tries hard to suppress her overwhelming feelings of love for Aiden, but fails miserably. Her fantasies about Aiden continue to upset her. Things become worse when she finds out that Aiden is spending a lot of time with Nicole and the two are "bonding" well.

Meanwhile, Theresa makes a big revelation to Kristen that leaves her shocked. She reveals that she and Brady have been sleeping together. The news leaves Kristen seething with anger.

Elsewhere, Abigail is fighting hard with her feelings for Ben. Kate realizes that she is about to "lose what she wants" in the wake of Sami and EJ's reconciliation. In other news, a new character is coming to Salem City. According to Soap Opera Digest, soap veteran Melissa Archer is joining the cast of "Days of Our Lives" (DOOL). The report notes that she can be seen in the episodes airing "later this fall." TV Line reports that Melissa is set to play a "red-headed" character named Serena. She also has connections with someone in Salem. The website confirms that she will first appear on the Dec. 5 episode of "Days of Our Lives" (DOOL).
