'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for April 6: Steve is off the hook, but gets heartbroken by Kayla

On Wednesday, the “Days Of Our Lives” episode focuses on Steve (Stephen Nichols), as he will receive some good news and bad news, which will both rock his world. Things turn out to his favour when murder charges against him were dropped all of a sudden. However, just when his situation dramatically improves, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) decides to call off their engagement.

Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will figure prominently on the April 6 installment include Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), Deimos (Vincent Irizarry), Victor (John Aniston), Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), Summer (Marie Wilson) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker).

TV Guide reports that on Wednesday’s episode of “DOOL,” Maggie uses the time before her operation to bond with her daughter, Summer. Meanwhile, Deimos wants to find out more about Nicole’s past, while he clashes with Philip because of Victor. Elsewhere, Steve is elated to learn that charges against him are dropped. However, the pleasant surprise will be ruined by Kayla’s decision to end their relationship.

Fans are wondering what happens next to Steve, who is accused of murdering Ava in the hospital. Previous episodes have shown that Steve covered for his son, Joey, who was really the one responsible for Ava’s death. As Steve faced trial for something he didn’t do, Kayla made a desperate plea: to run away, escape the authorities and start over a new life with their son. However, Steve refused, which leads to a heated argument. Later, Kayla found Joey at the town square. Joey introduced his mother to his friend, Jade. Kayla discovered that Joey revealed everything that happened to Jade. Kayla cried, “Oh my God, you told her?” Kayla ordered him to stay away from court, and told him she’ll just call him when it’s all over. She then walked away.
