On Tuesday, the NBC soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" (“DOOL”) will focus on Chad (Billy Flynn), who is still reeling from the news that Thomas is his son. Fans are also in for a shock as Kate Mansi, who plays the role of Thomas’ mom Abby, will reportedly leave the show.

The upcoming “DOOL” episode will also feature John (Drake Hogestyn), Brady (Eric Martsolf), Nicole (Arianne Zucker), Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Ciara (Vivian Jovanni), Joey (James Lastovic), Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), Chase (Jonathon McClendon) and Theo (Kyler Pettis).

TV Guide reports that on Monday’s episode of “DOOL,” Nicole will be overcome by grief that she will lash out at Jennifer, while John will make a selfless decision that would benefit Brady. Meanwhile, Chad will be left shocked after learning that he is the father of Thomas. Elsewhere, Ciara, Joey, Claire, Chase, Theo will sneak into Club TBD with their friends to celebrate New Year.

Fans are wondering what happens next to the love story of Abby and Chad, which got cut short when Chad was brainwashed to dump Abby for Belle. Abby learned that ex-fiance, Ben, isn’t the father of her newborn son after bringing Thomas to the hospital following a health scare. Due to the seriousness of Thomas’ condition, a DNA work up was required from both of his parents. It was during the DNA scanning when it was revealed that Ben isn’t the father of Thomas.

As the story of Abby and Chad develops, Mansi will be leaving her popular role in “DOOL,” as reported by We Love Soaps. There have been speculations that she will exit the show, which she joined in March 2011. We Love Soaps cited Serial Scoop’s Michael Goldberg as its source, which said that Mansi can be seen in “DOOL” until May this year.

“Days Of Our Lives” airs daily at 1 pm on NBC and 8 pm on POP.
