'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Dec. 29: A romantic evening gets interrupted by some disturbing news; a mother’s plea seeks to soften a Salemite’s heart

Before Salem City wraps up the year, more drama and shocking bombshells come its way on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Thursday, Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) is quite relieved to learn that Chad (Billy Flynn) already knows the truth about Abby (Marci Miller).

Jennifer begs Chad to be more understanding and accept Abby’s reasons for her actions. However, it may not be that easy since he still feels betrayed by his wife. He also has another fake death to deal with – it has been confirmed that Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) is still alive. Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Dec. 29 installment include Kate (Lauren Koslow), Eduardo (A Martinez), Justin (Wally Kurth) and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

TV Guide reports that on Thursday’s run of “DOOL,” Kate and Eduardo plan for a romantic celebration of New Year’s Eve. However, she’s also in for quite a setback when she receives some terrible news. Justin and Lucas, on the other hand, arrive at the hospital to take care of Adrienne. Elsewhere, Jennifer implores Chad to understand why Abby had to hide the truth from him.

In the previous episode, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) claimed that she feels a strong connection between her and Holly, which convinced Brady (Eric Martsolf) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) that she’s the real mother of Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) baby. The two men suspected that Nancy (Patrika Darbo) knew the truth. When Brady talked to her and asked about Holly’s dad, Nancy lied and said she didn’t know anything. Later, Brady sought Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) help for the baby. She advised to wait until they have solid proof before telling Nicole.

Elsewhere, Rafe (Galen Gering) requested Andre (Thaoo Penghlis) and Kate’s permission for the exhumation of Stefano’s body. He suspected that Stefano’s really not dead, but Andre’s incredulous. In the end, however, Andre gave his go signal, wanting to prove the cop wrong. Later, Rafe returned and dropped a shocking bombshell: based on the DNA test, the body in the grave was not Stefano’s.
