Drama and romance hound Salem City on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Thursday, fans may be seeing Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) final scenes in the long-running soap. Reports state that before he died in December last year, Mascolo was able to shoot some extra scenes for the series.

Now that his character has been caught and put in jail, Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) can focus on their wedding preparations, set on Valentine’s Day. Spoilers suggest that fans can expect familiar faces to return in time for the big day. Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Feb. 9 run include Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Eric (Greg Vaughan), Lt Raines (Aaron D Spears), Paul (Freddie Smith), Sonny (Christopher Sean), Carrie (Christie Clark), Austin (Austin Peck), Brady, Chloe and Nicole.

TV Guide reports that on Thursday’s run of “DOOL,” Carrie and Austin get invites from Steve and Kayla, who are set to get married on Valentine’s Day. Brady, on the other hand, informs Nicole that Chloe is refusing to back down from the custody battle. The “Days Of Our Lives” website posted sneak peek photos of Carrie and Austin, as well as Brady and Chloe for the Feb. 9 episode.

Also on Thursday, Paul and Sonny sneak off for some romantic time alone. Meanwhile, Raines is determined to track down Hope until her innocence is proven. “DOOL” fans would remember that he was already inches to capturing Hope but she managed to escape. Following Stefano’s capture, proving that he’s alive, the murder charges against Hope may be dropped.

In the previous episode, Abby (Marci Miller) was beside herself with worry – she just found out that Gabi (Camila Banus) and Chad (Billy Flynn) were abducted by one of Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) goons. She headed to Andre’s (Thaoo Penghlis) room in the hospital to ask for his help, but he just warned her not to mess with Deimos. When Abby left, Andre went to see Eduardo (A Martinez) and suggested they join forces to fight Deimos. Elsewhere, Chad tried to comfort Gabi, who was freaking out about the whole ordeal. Later, a goon arrived to bring them food and looked wickedly at Gabi. Chad tried to protect Gabi and in the process, got shot in the stomach.

Elsewhere, Raines fired a shot towards Hope’s direction but told her he missed on purpose. She ran for her life, managing to escape, and ended up in Eric’s house. She told him what happened, while Eric told her that some cops also went there earlier to search his home. In Prague, Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Austin made their way to the others, surprising them. They thought she already found Stefano. Austin explained why he’s there, saying he’s pitching in to help. Later, everyone saw Stefano just in time for the lights to go off. When the lights went back on, he’s gone. Steve and Rafe (Galen Gering) ran after him and managed to capture him, much to the delight of the whole team.
