'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Jan. 17: A Salemite returns to take care of Hope; a new cast member takes over a ‘DOOL’ character

An unexpected comeback and the debut of a new face hound the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Tuesday, fans are in for a big surprise as Eric (Greg Vaughan) appears again in Salem City. It seems that he’s Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) knight in shining armour, who saved her after she unintentionally escapes from prison.

Meanwhile, actress Danielle Haugh will also be introduced on the Jan. 17 installment as the new Paige Searcy. ‘DOOL’ fans would remember that Paige has recently suffered from a miscarriage, and it’s interesting to see how the storyline takes off after this horrible incident.

Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on today’s run include Steve (Stephen Nichols), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Marlena (Deidre Hall), Rafe (Galen Gering), Paul (Christopher Sean), Carrie (Christie Clark), Austin (Austin Peck) and Anna (Leann Hunley).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s run of “DOOL,” Steve delivers an alarming piece of information to Kayla, prompting her to follow him to Prague. Hope, on the other hand, is surprised to see that someone she knows is the one looking after her at the hospital. The “Days Of Our Lives” website posted sneak peek photos of Kayla and Hope for the Jan. 17 episode.

Also on Tuesday, Rafe, Steve and Paul get ready to take down Stefano. Meanwhile, Carrie and Austin hunt down Anna, who seems to be spiralling out of control.

In the previous episode, Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker) overheard Deimos’ (Vincent Irizarry) rants to Sonny (Freddie Smith), saying, “DiMera started this and I’ll be the one to finish it!” Nicole showed herself and confronted him, and he countered that it’s business. She also pulled him aside to discuss about his outrage. Meanwhile, Chloe told Brady (Eric Martsolf) about Deimos’ threat to kill someone. When Brady asked about Holly, Chloe appeared anxious and passed out. Brady called Kayla, who reprimanded Chloe for leaving the hospital.

Chloe was then brought to the hospital and Nancy (Patrika Darbo) came over later with Holly. Chloe said that she wanted to come clean to Nicole but she wasn’t able to. Nicole arrived and Nancy left them to talk. Chloe thanked Nicole during her labour. Meanwhile, Nancy issued a serious warning to Brady: if he doesn’t keep Deimos away, she’ll consider him a threat too.
