'Days Of Our Lives' spoilers for Jan 21: John’s real mother puts his life in jeopardy

"Days Of Our Lives" will focus on a big revelation in its upcoming episode on Thursday, as John’s (Drake Hogestyn) life becomes endangered in the hands of his own mother. Other “Days Of Our Lives” cast members who will also be featured in the latest installment are Maude (Eve Brenner), Ciara (Vivian Jovanni), Hope (Kristian Alfonso), Rafe (Galen Gering), Gabi (Camila Banus), J.J. (Casey Moss), Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Brady (Eric Martsolf).

TV Guide reports that on Thursday’s episode of “DOOL,” Ciara wonders if Hope is developing feelings for Rafe. Meanwhile, Gabi and JJ have their own share of romance as they kiss for the first time, and Nicole finds out she’s been the subject of Brady’s dreams. Elsewhere, a shocking betrayal puts John in danger.

"Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

Previous episodes have shown how John finally met his real mother, Maude. However, it was not a happy reunion as expected. During their first encounter, Maude told him about his true background. John learned that he was born in Baton Rouge and took the surname Robisho. She also said that his father died in the Korean War three weeks before John was born. Maude suddenly found herself as a single parent and could not support John financially, so she auctioned their things. During the auction, a young couple saw John and offered to adopt him. Maude sold him to the couple to ensure that they both live. However, years after, John’s adoptive parents died in a car accident and their parents put him in an orphanage, which is where the Alamains found him. In the middle of their conversation, John suddenly felt dizzy and realised that Maude put something in his drink to drug him. He fell on to the floor, as Maude just watched.
