Salem City faces quite an eventful series of events on the upcoming episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”). On Tuesday, Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) health continues to deteriorate. Worse, her fever has gone so high that she began having hallucinations, which will eventually put her life at risk.

The timing is unfortunate, since Eric (Greg Vaughan) left momentarily to gather more supplies in Salem. Despite trying to lie low, he gets spotted by Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). Other “Days Of Our Lives” characters who will figure prominently on the Jan. 31 run include Marlena (Deidre Hall), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), Steve (Stephen Nichols), Rafe (Galen Gering), Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Ciara (Vivian Jovanni).

TV Guide reports that on Tuesday’s run of “DOOL,” Marlena and her friends devise a plan to entice Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) to come out from his hiding place. Eric, on the other hand, returns to Salem to run some errands and inevitably encounters someone who knows him. The “Days Of Our Lives” website posted sneak peek photos of Eric, as well as Marlena, Steve, Kayla and Rafe for the Jan. 31 episode.

Also on Tuesday, Hope’s fever makes her suffer from hallucinations that endanger her life. Spoilers suggest that her delusions would lead her to get out of the house where Eric is keeping her safe. Elsewhere, Shawn and Ciara receive some terrible news about their mum. It seems the policemen are stepping up efforts to search for Hope, who has become a fugitive without intending to.

"Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

In the previous episode, Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) went to visit Dario’s (Jordi Vilasuso) assassin and ordered him to call Roman (Josh Taylor) to say that he doesn’t want to press charges against Nicole (Arianne Zucker). Deimos threatened the hitman, saying his family would be in danger if he didn’t do it.

Meanwhile, Nicole headed to Chloe’s (Nadia Bjorlin) and said she’ll bring Holly home with her. An argument ensued between the two. Nicole guaranteed that she’ll win the custody case, but Chloe didn’t believe her. Chloe said her problem is Nicole letting the baby live with a monster. They had a moment of peace but soon bickered again, until Brady (Eric Martsolf) arrived to intervene. He implored Nicole to leave – she can’t afford to have another legal issue again since she’s still trying to get out of one. When Brady and Nicole left, Chloe called Belle (Martha Madison) and told her they need to be ready.
