"Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

In the previous episode, Hope learned from Rafe that the DA is dropping all charges except murder. She’s a bit relieved, but at the same time concerned she might get the death penalty. Rafe assured her that Justin would pull out all the stops to make sure that won’t happen. Speaking of Justin, he talked with Adrienne about Hope’s case. Justin reckoned Hope has a good chance, and Adrienne gushed how proud she is of him. The two then headed to the court.

Justin and Adrienne arrived in court, where Shawn, Steve, Kayla, Julie, Doug, Roman and Ciara are waiting. Hope was brought in and shortly after, Judge Karen Fitzpatrick entered. Trask spoke first, and she insisted that Hope used her position to conduct premeditated murder. She hoped the court would sentence Hope with death by lethal injection, making everyone gasp in shock. When it was Justin’s turn to talk, he argued that the murder wasn’t Hope’s choice or a premeditated act. He recounted Stefano’s various abusive acts over the years, calling Hope the real victim.
