Salem seems to have an endless supply of suspense and surprises, and the last episode of “Days Of Our Lives” (“DOOL”) this week is no exception. On Friday, Theresa (Jen Lilley) weighs her options amid the danger looming large over her and her family. Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and Kim (Patsy Pease) advise her that skipping town with Brady (Eric Martsolf) and their baby is the safest thing to do, but she doesn’t seem to agree with this.

Speaking of imminent danger, a shady business agreement is established among Eduardo (A Martinez), Dario (Jordi Vilasuso) and Deimos (Vincent Irizarry). "Days Of Our Lives" soap recap

On Thursday, Philip surprised Nicole by informing her that Deimos isn't the father of Chloe's baby. Later, Nicole got a call from Chloe, who lied about having sex with some guy at the club she was singing at. Chloe then flashed back to what really happened: when Daniel was still alive, Nicole told Chloe that she loved being a step-mom to Parker but wanted to be a mother. Chloe volunteered to be a surrogate, and despite Daniel’s initial misgivings, they went through the procedure. However, Chloe’s test results were negative. When Daniel died, Chloe tried again without telling Nicole. The second time was successful – the baby that Chloe’s carrying is Nicole and Daniel's.

Elsewhere, Theresa kept being on the edge about Mateo. When she went to St Luke’s to pray, Victor arrived, asking why she asked him to meet her. She confessed to him that Brady and Tate’s lives are in danger because of her. She opened up about her past with the son of the head of a drug cartel, Mateo, who’s now hunting her down. She asked Victor to keep quiet about it and sought his help to take Mateo out. Victor refused, explaining that Mateo is too powerful for him. Theresa told him about Shane’s advice – to run away alone – and Victor agreed it’s the best option. Theresa cried and Victor comforted her.
