After crying out loud, a Chinese baby boy has been saved from being cremated "alive" when he was mispronounced dead at the Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital in eastern China, according to AFP reports.

The baby boy was about to be cremated at a funeral parlor when he was heard crying.

He was barely a month old. Due to a critical illness, his parents had agreed to end his medical treatment, according to a report from Xinhua state news agency. He was born with a congenital respiratory system malformation and received treatment until Wednesday.

The parents already accepted that their baby was dead. The death certificate was issued prior to sending the baby to a funeral parlor in the provincial capital of Hefei.

No report was recorded on the actual time that the baby stayed at the funeral parlor before he started crying, nor any report on the official time of his cremation.

As soon as the staff heard the baby cry, they immediately sent the baby boy back to the hospital.

"Because the baby still had life signs, we continued to give him transfusion to maintain his life for humanitarian reasons," a hospital staff member told Xinhua.

As a result of a medical neglect on the hospital staff attending to the baby boy, the doctor was suspended and his nurse aid was fired from work.

Hospital officials had already launched an in-depth investigation about the incident.

In another news, Sun Chuanjun, a Chinese man, who threw his sister-in-law's baby into boiling water is already awaiting trial for execution.

He had pleaded guilty claiming he had a dispute about money with his sister-in-law causing to do the evil act.

The baby suffered third-degree burns and is fighting for his life in a local hospital.

The police told Chuanjun that he should not expect any form of mercy. His crime had shocked the entire country and the people are appealing for adverse punishment.

"We are not used to such callous crimes against innocents in China. Family is everything. The killer was caught only moments later and has confessed everything. He can expect little mercy when it comes to trial," a police spokesman said.

It is expected that Chuanjun will face death by firing squad. His organs will be collected for transplant.
