After Paul Walker's untimely demise in a tragic car crash, another death hoax has made rounds on the Internet. This death hoax is none other than legendary actor, Eddie Murphy.

This year alone, there have been countless times that Eddie Murphy has been declared dead on the social media. Murphy's death hoax has once again become a hype on Facebook and Twitter over the weekend.

When Paul Walker died on November 30 many of his fans believed that the actor was still alive and the news of his passing away was false.

A few of his Twitter fans wrote, "I'm hearing tons of Paul Walker is dead stuff. Well... keep in mind that Eddie Murphy died 8 times."

Another tweeted:

"Paul isn't dead, it's a hoax. Same thing happened to Eddie Murphy."

However, when Paul Walker's death news became official and confirmed not to be a hoax, people started believing news of Murphy's death. The tweets then started to pour in.

Contrary to such reports, Eddie Murphy's publicist has confirmed that Murphy is very much alive and is in great health.

He released an official statement, " Eddie Murphy has not died."

Such death hoax rumors are not funny and really send a bout of frenzy amongst the fans, friends and families of the victim. Lately, the death hoax phenomenon is gaining a lot of steam. We hope that soon-such baseless rumors stop spreading as they really affect our beloved stars
