The company is living up to the message that they released in a blog that they are not just a productivity business but a business that helps people be more productive. In an era where new apps, new devices and new services are created each day, Microsoft is going out of its way to rethink its tools in answer to the constant changes in technology.

Delve, Sway and Revolve are the three new apps that are part of Microsoft's productivity generation. Office Suite will be evolving into something more different but expect that it will be more useful. Obviously, the company is keeping up with continuous changes in the work habits of consumers by coming up with product updates that will sure to cope up with the changes, PCWorld reports.

Last September, Microsoft revealed that Delve will be part of the new Office 365 by January. Delve works hand in hand with Lync, Sharepoint and Yammer, accumulating information and gathering documents that users need to interact with co-workers in a more efficient manner. So for office workers, the gruesome task of looking through a long list of email for a particular sales document will be made easier by Delve, which will pull together all documents it believes are relevant for you.

Sway, on the other hand, is a lightweight content creation platform which is currently in preview mode. The update merges Powerpoint and Word. Microsoft is still getting feedback from users regarding this new evolution which shows the company's belief in openness.

Revolve, the third new app is described to be an upcoming app for Windows phones which combines aspects of a calendar and contact manager which helps users by presenting information about meeting schedules. Such information is collected by the app from different sources.

Microsoft's Word, Excel and Powerpoint have been exceptional tools for workers, students and consumers who make letters and reports. In this generation, the company is adapting to the needs of people by making the Office apps work with iPhone, iPads and Android devices and best of all making these apps free for download.
